Releases and product news

v3.8.1

Multipath transport is now the desktop default

The widest-reaching change this quarter: what used to be a manual toggle now applies the moment the client is installed.

  • Average stall time on weak links fell by roughly 37%, with the largest gains on intercontinental routes.
  • A link score panel now rates route quality from 0 to 100 and prompts a switch below 70.
  • Fixed floating panel misalignment at 200% scaling and improved behaviour across multiple monitors.
v3.8.0

Path pre-warming arrives, so network changes need no handshake

  • Session state for the standby route is prepared in advance, keeping the tunnel alive across Wi-Fi and cellular handover.
  • Average reconnect time in weak-signal areas dropped from 4.2 seconds to under 0.3 seconds.
  • Low-power mode holds the extra mobile battery draw under 2% per hour.
Notice SA-2026-04

Annual third-party security assessment completed with no high-risk findings

An external team spent 18 working days assessing client binaries, node services and the key management service.

  • No high or critical findings were reported.
  • Three medium and low risk recommendations covering log redaction and configuration validation were resolved in v3.8.0.
  • The scope summary is in the security chapter; enterprise customers can request the full report.
Node news

Nordic and South East Asia expansion complete, plus a new intercontinental backbone

  • Stockholm and Helsinki were expanded, cutting average access latency for Nordic routes by 41%.
  • Jakarta and Manila received hardware upgrades, raising peak throughput per node to 25 Gbps.
  • A new Asia Pacific to Western Europe backbone raised total nodes from 2,640 to over 2,860.
v3.7.9

Android TV client released, fully remote-operated

  • The interface was rebuilt for TVs and set-top boxes, with D-pad navigation and one-tap connect.
  • Streaming uses the high-bandwidth channel by default, cutting 4K time-to-first-frame by an average of 1.4 seconds.
  • Per-app routing means only video apps use the accelerated route.
v3.7.5

Per-app routing rebuilt for faster rule setup

  • Rules can match on process name or install path, so you no longer have to locate the executable by hand.
  • Rules can be imported and exported, letting Team customers distribute a single shared policy.
  • Fixed an issue where rules were lost after restarting the client on some networks.
